Current employees must create a transfer application in BEACON to be eligible to apply for an advertised position. Transfer accounts must be recreated
or extended every 90 days. You will receive email notifications. Support employees who want to apply for an instructional position must create a new
BEACON account and provide all supporting documents necessary to complete their instructional application package. Please Note: A completed
employment application must be online in the district’s BEACON Job Center to be considered for an advertised position. If you need an
accommodation to participate in the application/selection process, please notify Human Resources in advance. Applicants who are veterans and
seeking initial employment by a covered employer will be given preference if they qualify under Florida Statute, Chapter 295.
A Retiree of an FRS employer may not work for any FRS employer during the first 6 calendar months following their retirement date.
If re-employed by an FRS employer during months 7 through 12 of that first year, the retiree must agree to suspend their pension benefits.
This would be applicable to regular or part timepositions and there are no re-employment exceptions.
